Inline ball joints, known as damper control swivel ball joints, are used in conjunction with nuts for holding purposes, especially if the connecting linkage is threaded. Furthermore, DC inline ball joints are used for controlling the linkage system. Aetna Screw specializes in designing and manufacturing three types of ball joints - DC, DH, and DS damper control swivel ball joints.

Series DC - Damper Control Swivel Ball Joints

  • DC Parts meet SAE J490 specifications. 
  • Designed for use with both 1/4" and 5/16" diameter connecting rods.
  • Fitted with self-locking set screws which provide high holding strength.
  • Made from low carbon steel and .0003 minimum trivalent zinc plated.
  • A Buna N rubber disc provides smooth, vibration-free operation.
  • Optional nut and lock washer (KEPS) nut is available for the stud end. Add 'N' to the suffix.

Series DH - Damper Control Swivel Ball Joint

  • Ideal for use with threaded rods in low cycling applications. They are cross-drilled for either 1/4" or 5/16" threaded rod.
  • Designed specifically for control applications where infinite adjustment is desired along the length of the threaded control rod. Accurate Vernier adjustments can be made with two jam nuts. 
  • Made from low carbon steel and .0003 minimum trivalent zinc plated.
  • A Buna N rubber disc provides smooth, vibration-free operation.
  • Optional nut and lock washer (KEPS) nut is available for the stud end. Add 'N' to the suffix.

Series DS - Damper Control Swivel Ball Joint

  • DS assemblies are lightweight SAE designs used extensively in low cycling applications. Series DS is used for in-line linkages under compression. 
  • Made of low carbon steel and .0003 minimum trivalent zinc plated.
  • A Buna N rubber disc provides smooth vibration-free operation.
  • Available with an internal lock washer and jam nut. Add suffix "N" to the part number.
  • Optional nut and lock washer (KEPS) nut is available for the stud end. Add 'N' to the suffix.
