The Aetna Six Slot GM* Type AA Hex Head Place Bolt GR.8 is especially well suited to flywheel, transmission and drive train applications where excessive vibration, high stress and shock cause failure of conventional hex head cap screws and bolts. The Aetna Six Slotted GM* Type AA Hex Head Place Bolt GR.8 are commonly used in the automotive, truck, farm implement, heavy equipment, and material handling industries.

The unique head design accounts for the superior performance of The Aetna 6 Slot GM* Type AA Hex Head Place Bolt GR.8. There are six slots on the top, a recessed center, and an undercut at the base of the head that meets the shoulder. This design creates an elasticity, so that when torqued down, the head distorts and maintains a pre-set clamp load under very adverse conditions. The heads are marked with our registered AETNA head mark.
